I started my football coaching journey thanks to two major influences, my family and Weston Ability FC.
I’m a dad to 3 amazing children with SEN(D) needs & although I’ve always loved football, I never expected to become a coach. Weston Ability FC opened that door for me and it’s a journey I’m grateful to have started & to be continuing.
Both combined have shaped not only why I coach, but how I coach.
I am now a UEFA C qualified coach with experience across pan disability, mainstream, community and school environments. This range has allowed me to work with players of all ages and abilities, developing a strong football foundation built on session design, player development, game based learning & constraint led coaching.
I’m passionate about using football intelligently by adapting practices, manipulating space, tempo and challenges that allow every player grow in a way that suits their learning profile.
My coaching philosophy is deeply influenced by my lived experience as a parent of neurodivergent children as well as having been diagnosed with ADHD myself.
This drives my commitment to creating environments where players with diverse needs can access football confidently, safely, and without stigma. I believe in emotionally intelligent coaching, clarity of communication & building sessions that respect how different brains process information, movement as well as pressure.
My long term vision is to help shape a football landscape where pan disability football is fully integrated, respected & seen as a vital part of club identity.
I’m dedicated to ensuring neurodivergent and disabled athletes can grow, compete and belong at every level of the game.
